MODIFICATION OF ROUTE FOR MXALPS AND POSSIBLE VARIATION ON THE MXSKY.
Due to weather conditions announcing very high risks of storms all day, the courses will be modified!
The MXT team is working super hard in order to be able to offer the best routes considering the weather conditions!
– MXALPS: Plans B and C are online and can be downloaded here (GPX files).
The chosen course will be announced at the pre-race briefing (7.45am) and will respect the initial format (approximately 54 km and 4000 m D +).
– MXSKY and MXFAMILY either initial route or plan B whose track is online and can be downloaded here.
The chosen course will be announced at the pre-race briefing (10:45am).
The starting times of the races do not change.
Also, please, do not forget your mandatory equipment as checks can be done at any time during the race (see race rules).

While you’re getting ready to come to Montreux, we would like share some important information with you:
- Runner’s Roadbook MXT2019 is available in digital format on our website. You will find the schedule for the withdrawal of bibs, information for parking etc.
Attention, this year for ecological reasons, there is no printed roadbook.
- Supporters’ Roadbook is also available here. Follow your runner to the aid stations and enjoy free concerts … everything is in the guide!
- Mandatory equipment may be checked during the race. It is your responsibility to keep it at all times with you, throughout the entire race.The mandatory equipment is indicated on page 12 of the race rules.
- Never without your cup! As a reminder the cup is part of the mandatory equipment for the MXALPS, MXSKY and MXFAMILY. If you want to drink from something else than your bottles, we strongly suggest you don’t forget your own cup since there won’t be any made available in the aid stations.

The MXALP lets you achieve this in one, unforgettable day.
You will start from Montreux for some 55 km and 4200 m positive elevation, and will run through almost all the summits, along an authentic and fantastic trail path. The gorgeous view of Lake Leman from the Cubly, the Mont-Blanc sight from the Cape aux Moines, the beautiful scenery of the Vaud Alps from the Rochers de Naye, the Perthuis d’Aveneyre or the Malatraix ridge will be with you all along this demanding trail.
Let yourself be tempted! And we did not tell you all yet. It will be breathtaking!

Friday July 26th from 5pm until 9pm and Saturday 27th July from 5.30am until 7.30am at the Market Square in Montreux.

Col de Chaude: after 8 hours (4pm on Saturday)

A working headlamp with an extra set of replacement batteries, a survival blanket (2.10 x 1.40m), a whistle, a waterproof jacket, an adhesive elastic band (strapping), a cell phone working in Switzerland, a reserve of water (min. 1 l.), food reserve, a long-sleeved T-shirt (Armsleeves allowed), long running tights (or a combination of leggings and calf sleeves are accepted), cup. Sticks are allowed.
A replacement headlamp, a head protection (a cap or Buff or bandana), gloves, a replacement t-shirt, sun glasses, sun screen.
Participants may drop off their personal belongings at the start in Montreux on Saturday morning, and pick them up upon arrival.
The organizer declines any responsibility in case of loss, damage or theft of any valuable item

Free shuttle organized from 5.30am on Saturday between the free parking in Villeneuve (la Tronchenaz) and Montreux, Place du Marché, until Sunday morning 1am.
Free parking in Villeneuve, Route de la Tronchenaz, is recommanded (5km from Montreux and 1.5km from A1 Highway Exit). A free shuttle is organized throughout the day between that parking and the Place du Marché in Montreux.
